Brainfest 2013

There is nothing in life quite as amazing as a girl's best friend.
I happen to be lucky to have had the same handful of close girlfriends for a long long time, and even though we're scattered all over the country, nothing in life can take the place of a bestie. 
My best friend Ellie and I have been best friends for the last TWELVE years, and I couldn't fathom not having her in my life. She makes me laugh harder than anything, she inspires me with her wit, talent and creativity - and her taste & style are the best in the world.
For a long time involving a complicated story, our nickname for each other is Brain, and we just met each other for a girls weekend that we affectionately named BRAIN FEST! 
We spent the weekend on the coast in La Jolla, CA, and had an incredible time seeing our favorite musical, drinking mimosas, shopping, wandering around the town, and even had psychic readings!
It was the best time ever, and I can't wait to do it again next year! 
I thought I'd share with you some of my favorite shots I got over the weekend.

#JTPNW

Are you guys sick of me talking about Seattle yet? I imagine you might be.
However, here's one more post. 
Along with the pictures I've already shared with you this week, I had a ton of great shots from my phone that I wanted to share as well. 
While we were away, we created the hashtag #JTPNW, which stands for Jake & Tarreyn Pacific NorthWest. Ever since Europe we're really in to personalized hashtags to keep all of our vacation/event pictures in one spot. If you follow me on Instagram (username: Tarreyn), you may have seen most of these images already. But there are still a couple new ones in here too.

Seattle Snapshots

The other day I shared some pictures with you of our trip to the Northern coast! After our lovely stay at the cabin, we headed to Seattle for five wonderful days!
We explored the market, saw theatre and museums and a baseball game, ate and drank LOOOAAADDSS of amazing food & drink, went dancing at an electronica festival, sped around the city in a convertible, went to the top of the space needle at sunset, vintage shopped in capital hill, and more! It was a blast!
Because of the insane rain on our last 3 days there, my camera stayed at home after day two, but I got some shots I love on those first couple days.

Ocean Shores

When I was a kid, almost every summer my parents and I would head to the NorthWest to spend time in Seattle and in a cabin on the coast. Due to growing up, moving out, college, jobs, and all that jazz, we hadn't gone in about ten years until this last week. - And it was amazing! 
Jake and I both went and stayed with my parents at a cabin on the coast for four beautiful days. 
We drank wine, played cards and checkers, read books, ate crab, took long walks on the beach, built fires, collected Sand Dollars, watched the sunset and more. 
It was magical.
