On The Road

Hello All!
This week Tarreyn Land is goin on the road, and you're joining along! I am taking a trip to the East Coast for 9 days and the blog is coming with! Through next Wednesday, a majority of the posts will be vacation/travel related! Today's Buzz is a bunch of entertainment things that relate to travel!
Few duos in history compare to the amazing camaraderie of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby! Their series of On The Road movies remain charming and hilarious today! My personal favorite is Road To Morocco, but they're all great!

More Good Travel Movies:
Lost in Translation
Into The Wild
Roman Holiday
Up
The Darjeeling Limited
The Motorcycle Diaries
Roman Holiday

Some Great Books about Travel:
- On The Road OR The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac: The epitomal beat novelist, Kerouac's stream-of-consciousness writing defined an era and will make you wanna grab a nap-sack and hit the road!
-Around the World in 80 Days by Jules Verne: This was one of my favorites as a kid, and still a great read today!
- For Whom The Bell Tolls by Ernest Hemingway: I am personally not a huge Hemingway fan, but he's definitely worth reading and an unquestionably adept author.
- Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson: This can be a difficult read due to the MASSIVE amounts of hallucinogens the author was on, but it is an interesting look into a  unique style of writing, and is a wild ride about a crazy weekend.
- Travels With Charley: In search of America by John Steinbeck: This is a book by Steinbeck that I haven't read personally, but his writing is so lovely and this comes very highly recommended, it's sure to be good.

Dive in to these if you're in the mood for a little taste of a trip or vacation!
