Out on a Limb: Waxing Discoveries

They say you should do one thing every day that scares you. 
For me today, that meant getting my legs waxed for the first time.

Yes, it's true. 
I got my feminist ass out of bed at 8am to undergo a form of societally acceptable torture to make my legs silky smooth. 

And it hurt like a BITCH. 
And it was expensive.
And my legs still have hair.

But it also feels great!

Here are some of the double edges of the sword:
PRO: I don't have to shave my legs for a while.
CON: I can't shave my legs because of the redness and bumps.
PRO: My hair will grow back softer 
CON: 2 hours later and my hair is already growing back.
PRO: I will feel more confident in my cut-off shorts.
CON: I need to take extreme measures to feel confident in shorts.
PRO: It will help me show off my tan.
CON: There is a clear chunky line in the middle of my thigh showing exactly where the wax ripped off the last week's worth of tanning lotion. 

My smooth legs have sent me spiraling into a tornado of mixed emotions...

I CAN TAKE OVER THE WORLD!

THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION EVER!

I have abandoned my feminist values.

All in all, I think with everything considered, this was the best worst decision I've ever made.
